The Saturday Matinee Original Shorts Double-Feature!

Hi! I’m doing something a bit different this weekend.

What I have for you today are two short videos I made recently. They’re both original concepts made entirely by me, which I can barely believe I’ve done. πŸ™‚

I think all those public domain movies I’ve butchered annotated gave me enough practice with Final Cut Pro to attempt things I never thought I’d do.

The first video is a recut version of “Pandemic Balloon”, the way I originally envisioned it, but couldn’t pull off the first time, because I couldn’t find the final image I wanted. Now, I like it better. So … director’s cut, right? πŸ™‚

The second is a short film based on real events in my own life. It’s called “Calendar Girl”, and it’ll premiere here on my YouTube channel at 12:15 p.m. Eastern Time. Join me for the premiere on YouTube and feel free to comment in the chatbox! πŸ™‚

Not perfect, but improving, I hope think! πŸ™‚

  1. I like that you’re doing “autobiographical” films – you’re a Federico Fellini!

Also: That poor, sad Valentine’s balloon. It is a perfect metaphor.

Oh, wow! Fellini! And I just love 8 1⁄2! Not to mention Stardust Memories! πŸ™‚

      Thanks, Ruth!

Yeah, that balloon. I should have called it “The Balloon and the Buffoon”. πŸ™‚ And me. “The Balloon, the Buffoon, and Me”. LOL
